Kuwaiti Women’s Volleyball Team Beats Oman’s & Qadsia Team Beats Kazma In Basketball

MANAMAN, March 6 (KUNA) — Kuwaiti women volleyball team defeated on Wednesday Omani counterpart in the competitions of the third GCC Woman Sport Tournament. In a strong performance by both sides, the Kuwaiti team was able to end the match to their favor winning 3-2 sets. The Kuwaiti team won the first two sets, but the Omani did not give up and won the other two, but the decisive set was once again by the Kuwaiti team.

 

KUWAIT, March 6 (KUNA) — Qadsia Basketball team revived hopes for winning the league’s title after defeating the defending champion Kazma 86-58 in the 41st week of Kuwait’s 51st basketball league, Wednesday night. After the win, Qadsia’s tally in the competition rose to 48 points. Qadsia players led by Fahad Al-Subaie, Abdullah Al-Sarraf, Mohammad Salmeen, along with two U.S professional players were able to win, despite critical loss among Kazma players due to missing players like Mohammad Ashknani, Abdulaziz Al-Rubaia. In other matches, Al-Nasr defeated Al-Shabab 85-73, while Arabi beats Sulaibkhat 83-72, and finally Salmia win against Tadamun 67-56.

Kuwait’s Al-Arabi Defeats Saudi Al-Nassr, Qualifies To Semi-Final of UAFA

Cup KUWAIT, Feb 27 (KUNA) — Kuwait’s Al-Arabi football team have qualified to the semifinal of the Union of Arab Football Associations’ (UAFA) Cup championship, after defeating Saudi Arabia’s Al-Nassr football team here on Wednesday 2-0 in their match at Sabah Al-Salem stadium. Al-Arabi started the first half by attacking the rivals, and was able to score the first goal at minute 38 by attacker Fahad Al-Rashidi, who scored the goal with his head from a high pass by his mate Abduqader Fal, a Senegalese professional. In the second half, Al-Arabi continued to attack until they scored the second goal through attacker Hussain Al-Mosawi at minute 49 by capitalizing on a mistake by Al-Nassr’s defensive line and shooting the ball in the goal. Al-Nasser team tried to come back during the match and was desperate to compensate for Al-Arabi’s two goals. However, Al-Arabi’s defensive line was so distinctive.

Kuwait Beats Saudi Arabia, Advances To Gulf Cup’s Semi-Finals!

MANAMA, Jan 12 (KUNA) — Kuwait national football team advanced to the semi-finals of the 21st Gulf Cup after a much-needed victory of 1-0 over rival Saudi Arabia, which was eliminated after the defeat on Saturday. In another match, Iraq, which had already qualified for the semi-finals, defeated Yemen 2-0. Iraq is leading the group with nine points out of three matches and followed by Kuwait with six points. Kuwait’s striker Yusuf Nasser scored his team’s sole goal in the 13 minute following a long pass from Talal Nayef. Kuwait had many chances to increase the score but all in vain. The Saudis came in the second half determined to equalize, applying pressure and attacking the Kuwaiti goal but the ball was either outside or saved by goalkeeper Nawaf Al-Khaldi.
