Kuwaiti Embassy In The U.S. Says “Kuwaiti Students In Boston Are Safe”

WASHINGTON, April 16 (KUNA) — All Kuwaiti students in Boston are safe and none of them have been hurt in the deadly explosions, the Kuwaiti Embassy in the US capital affirmed. The diplomatic mission is continuously following up on condition of the Kuwaiti students and other citizens in the City of Boston, following the explosions that rocked it, reportedly leaving at least three people dead and more than 100 others wounded, the embassy said in a statement. The embassy inquired about condition of all Kuwaiti students and nationals in Boston, the statement added. The embassy added that while it continues to hold contacts with the students and the nationals in the city, it also calls for “prudence, maintaining contact with it, and apprising the mission of any emergency that may develop.” The embassy receives emergency calls on the following telephone number: +1-202-262-0758.

Local News: Camping Season Ends April 1st & KPC Launches A Wide Scale Recycling Project!

KUWAIT, March 17 (KUNA) — Director-General of Kuwait Municipality Ahmed al-Sabih said on Sunday that the emergency teams in the municipality will remove all violating spring camps as of the first of April. Al-Sabih told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the spring camps end according to the conditions set by the municipality at the end of March of each year, stressing the necessity of spring camp goers to abide by the Minicipality law in this regard for public interest. He also called on the camp goers to keep the desert clean after the camping season.

 

 

KUWAIT, March 17 (KUNA) — Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) announced on Sunday that it plans to launch a wide-scale recycling project at the oil sector complex with a special ceremony this Thursday. A KPC press release said Kuwait is in great need of serious recycling projects and stressed recycling requires the cooperation of all society components, both individuals and state and other bodies.

 

The ceremony on Thursday would include an exhibition with leading companies in the field of recycling in Kuwait taking part to introduce staff to means to actively contribute to preservation of the environment. KPC is eager to take bigger steps to introduce staff to the concept of recycling and to encourage them to implement it both at work and in their daily lives. The team handling this project had last week distributed special containers to all KPC offices and facilities in the main building for collection of recyclable material. The team is also launching a special campaign to increase awareness and instill a sense of responsibility among staff.
