KUWAIT, March 17 (KUNA) — Director-General of Kuwait Municipality Ahmed al-Sabih said on Sunday that the emergency teams in the municipality will remove all violating spring camps as of the first of April. Al-Sabih told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the spring camps end according to the conditions set by the municipality at the end of March of each year, stressing the necessity of spring camp goers to abide by the Minicipality law in this regard for public interest. He also called on the camp goers to keep the desert clean after the camping season.
KUWAIT, March 17 (KUNA) — Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) announced on Sunday that it plans to launch a wide-scale recycling project at the oil sector complex with a special ceremony this Thursday. A KPC press release said Kuwait is in great need of serious recycling projects and stressed recycling requires the cooperation of all society components, both individuals and state and other bodies.
The ceremony on Thursday would include an exhibition with leading companies in the field of recycling in Kuwait taking part to introduce staff to means to actively contribute to preservation of the environment. KPC is eager to take bigger steps to introduce staff to the concept of recycling and to encourage them to implement it both at work and in their daily lives. The team handling this project had last week distributed special containers to all KPC offices and facilities in the main building for collection of recyclable material. The team is also launching a special campaign to increase awareness and instill a sense of responsibility among staff.
