Image Gallery: “Khayt’s” Crochet Flower Bouquet Competition At Sadu House

The members of “Khayt,” a new crochet group that recently joined the Al Sadu Society organization, held a beautiful crochet flower bouquet competition on the evening of March 18th. The bouquets were judged by a judging panel made up of Mr. Sulaiman Al-Tarrah from 965flowers.com, Ms. Badriya Al-Hasawi from Fleur, and Ms. Mariam Nasrallah from Pretty Sheep Crochet. The winning flower bouquets will soon be available for sale at 965flowers.com. The set-up of the event was done by renowned event organizer Emad Al-Samhan.

Open Call For Artists For Upcoming “Affordable Art Show: Young Artists Edition”

Dar Al Funoon is having an open call for artists between the ages of 18 – 35 to participate in their upcoming “Affordable Art Show – Young Artists Edition” in January 2013. This will be an exciting opportunity for emerging artists to be showcased at the gallery. Deadline to submit work is Thursday December 20th 2012. Send email to info@daralfunoon-kw.com.

 

Eligibility:

- Open to all emerging artists 18 -35 years.
- All work must be original.
- Mediums include, but not limited to, painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, glass, wood, furniture, jewelry, sculpture, ceramics, and digital/new media.
- Submit a minimum of 5 works along with a CV and personal statement (please do not send hi-res images).
