Diwaniya: “An Expat’s Glimpse of Kuwait” A Presentation By Linda Shields
Moving to a new country is exciting and perhaps a bit intimidating. During her explorations of Kuwait, Linda has recorded some glimpses of Kuwaiti history and culture. Her collection of photographs is in no way complete but each picture is like a small colorful piece of added to a quilt. When her time is over, the “quilt” will be a warm reminder of things seen & experienced in Kuwait. Linda Shields arrived in Kuwait in 2003 & is working in an international school as a classroom teacher. She was born & raised in Indonesia and the Netherlands before her parents immigrated to the US when she was 10 years old. As an adult, she lived in the US, Netherlands and Saudi Arabia. Linda uses her pictures and stories to share the places she has lived and visited with her family and friends.
