Want To Be A Guest Writer On The Grapevine?

14 May 2012

Are you passionate about creative writing? Want to cover and review a local event or activity? If you have the “writing bug” then this definitely may interest you! The Grapevine Kuwait is seeking guest writers who would love to cover/review events or perhaps write about some of the fun things to do around town (activities, touristic spots, etc). Your stories, your thoughts, your experiences, and your perspectives could inspire and benefit others. This is your chance to expose your love of writing to a fun audience eager to know more about Kuwait’s social scene!

To become a guest writer you preferably need to have some previous writing experience, or your own blog, but it is not a requirement. If you are a blogger then writing guest posts is a good way to reach out to new readers. If you are interested in submitting a guest post for us to consider, then kindly read the following guidelines first:

-Posts must be unique and not published elsewhere on the internet.

-If you are writing a review of an event, you MUST NOT be affiliated in any way to the group/organization you are reviewing as we would like the reviews to be un-biased. If you are writing “about” a group or organization or if you are conducting an “interview” with a member, then belonging to the group/organization is ok.

-A minimum of 2 quality photos is required for event reviews and for articles related to touristic spots & activities, and a minimum of 1 photo (or logo) is required if you are writing about a group/organization or if you are conducting an interview.

-All articles must be checked for grammatical/spelling errors prior to submission.

-Remember to add your author byline at the end of the post, which can include a link and your avatar if you wish. The link must be directed to your online portfolio, personal website/blog which belongs to you.

-GrapevineKuwait.com (Copyright © 2012) has the right to refuse to publish (or un-publish) any articles at any time.

-For more information, or to submit an article, kindly email info@grapevinekuwait.com or you may submit your work via our contact page HERE.

-Please note that you will NOT be paid for being a guest writer on The Grapevine Kuwait. You will basically be doing this for your love of creative writing :)

There are soooo many exciting concerts & events coming up, so make sure to email us today! :)

  1. I’d love to join and be a guest writer for your blog. I’m a huge fan of your blog and I do love writing . the only thing is I’m not quite sure im right for the position, since I’ll need to be uptodate with events and unfortunatly I’m really good in that, however I’m very much interested in writing about fashion and am definatly up dated in that department. if i’m still eligable for the job I’m be happy to join

  2. Hello Grapevine Team,

Good Morning. Hope all is well with you all. I would appreciate if I would be able to do some creative writing for the team too. Would like to get a feedback on this topic.

thanking you in advance and regards.

    • Hi Femeeda! Wow, that would be great! You are more than welcome to attend an event and write a review on it, and then submit it to us. Or, you are also welcome to write about a Kuwaiti landmark/touristic spot, or about a social group in the area. It is up to you as long as the topic is related to Kuwait’s social/touristic scene as The Grapevine is solely focused on those topics. Please let us know if you have ANY questions. We are more than happy to answer them. Hope to hear from you soon! :)
