This year Kuwait will be participating for the first time at the 13th International Architecture Exhibition, La Biennale di Venezia, running from 29th August to 25th November 2012. The exhibition is directed by Architect David Chipperfield and titled Common Ground. Under the title Kethra, Kuwait’s participation at the Arsenale in Venice is commissioned by The National Council for Culture, Arts, and Letters (NCCAL) and Curated by Zahra Ali Baba, and Deputy Curators Deema Al-Ghunaim, and Ricardo Camacho. Kethra uses Venice Biennale as a global platform to launch a long term project that will host discussions, workshops and other parallel events in Kuwait.

The NCCAL would cordially like to invite you to attend a 3 day local event to officially introduce Kuwait’s participation and join the conversation at the conference ‘Kuwait: Buildings and Architects’, hosting a round table discussion between international guest speakers and local architects.
