Description:
Take the Plunge! It is time that the fascinating marine life of the Northern Gulf waters goes electronic!
The nutrient-rich Kuwaiti sea hosts marine life of amazing wealth and diversity. Largely unknown to wider audiences, this underwater universe comprises hundreds of species, at least half of which inhabit the clear coral reef waters of southern Kuwait as well as the northern, silty waters of the Tigris-Euphrates Delta.
In the framework of their mission as researchers and volunteers of the Kuwait Turtle Conservation Project, several marine life enthusiasts put together this iPhone App which, for the first time in the Gulf, presents:
•Lists of over 200 marine life species in Kuwaiti waters (Listed by Common Name, Scientific Name or Family)
•A photo gallery of these animals for random browsing
•An email option: Find your fish in the photo gallery and send it to your friends: Photo and all other information about it.
•User-friendly descriptions of the fish for all audiences and all ages
Divers, snorkelers, fishermen, marine naturalists, students, teachers and every fan of the underwater life in the northern Gulf will find lots of information and enjoyment in this App, which we hope to upgrade soon with more species and local photography.

This is awesome! I was wondering if there was a book on fish in Kuwait as my kids want to go fishing and now we can identify them as we go!
Hello! Thank you so much for your comment! I am honestly not really sure if there’s a book, but perhaps you can contact The Scientific Center of Kuwait and ask them. I know they have several books on marine life and such– maybe they’ll have the one you’re looking for!
You can view their contact info at the following link: http://www.grapevinekuwait.com/activities/education-business/the-scientific-center-kuwait.html
Here it goes,
you insert a web cam under water near a known spot for maximum fish gathering, with lights and fish feed on demand. Any one who is watching this on the web and would like to see Kuwaiti fish feeding, he just donate specific monetary amount, the lights goes On and the feeding pump starts flowing . I remember when I was studying for years in USA and I had HUGE homesick feelings, I would of done any thing to watch my beloved Mjwawh Nowabi even the disrespected Zouri feeding. Some of these donation will come from many businesses to show their loyalty of our marine life. even our embassies might be interested, and let us not forget schools and the kids fun in classes when they know that they are actually feeding fish deep under Kuwaiti waters.
ok !! Waleed
Ya I forgot, I also will participate in the Election on Saturday
