The American Womens League is open to US citizens and ladies married to US citizens. Meetings are held during the last week of every month and include a buffet dinner and a guest speaker and/or presentation. A special Newcomers evening is held during the first period of every month. The AWL is heavily involved with EMAD (Education Makes A Difference), a group which is working on collecting educational material for schools throughout Iraq.

Kuwait Caledonian Society
The Kuwait Caledonian Society promotes Scottish cultural and social activities in Kuwait. Annual formal functions include the Caledonian Ball, St. Andrews Night and Robbie Burns Night when musicians from Scotland are flown to Kuwait. Less formal functions include the disco and Ceilidh. Bagpipe and dancing lessons are available. The society raises money for charities in both Kuwait and Scotland.
